In late April, the Business Institute of Pedagogics & Psychology of ASU has arranged the unique social project “Game Labyrinth” for orphans and for kids with special health needs.

The event program has included a demonstration of a scientific show, kids’ participation in creative workshops, new branded toys, and the best table games. A number of games were available for them to play – Laboratory in a Suitcase, Natural Science in a Suitcase, Biology in a Suitcase, Physics in a Suitcase, sets to construct robots, hardware for the games “Sand Drawing” and “Microscope the Superprofessor”, as well as mobile labs “Air & Atmospheric Pressure”, “Nature of Sound”, “Equilibrium & Stability”, etc.

The project participants have played developing games in small groups; then they traveled up and down the game labyrinth. They have visited four stations (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Robotics), where students of Astrakhan State University, who acted as volunteers, worked with them. The unity of the educational and the developing functions is the main principle of pedagogical activities in the project “Game Labyrinth”.

As both the kids and the event organizers say, the project has been funny, interesting, and informative. May kids say that they would be glad to be back to the Game Labyrinth.
