ASU Presents Its Innovative Developments in Rostov-on-Don
Astrakhan State University has taken part in the 6th Festival of Science of the South of Russia, which has been hosted by the Southern Federal University and backed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in middle October 2015.
The theme of the Festival was as follows: “A 100-year affair with science. Find yourself in this plot”. A multi-mast sail frigate has become a symbol of the event; 135 interactive modules have been placed around the vessel within the entire exposition area of 5, 000 m2.
As for ASU, it has presented such innovative developments as RoboChess, RoboSumo, Push-Up Number Counting Device, and Navigation Device for People with Eyesight Malfunctions. Besides, our people have given a master class to cook pushed-up wheat pancakes as an element of healthy nutrition.
All in all, 42 higher educational institutions, 17 museums, and 30 research centers have taken part in the Festival. 48, 000 people have visited the event.
