Congratulations to Dr. Podvoyskiy on 65th Birthday!

On May 26, 2015, Dr. Leonid Podvoyskiy, Chairman of the Astrakhan Philosophical Society, is celebrating his 65th birthday.
Dr. Podvoyskiy is a PhD in Philosophy and an Associate Professor of Astrakhan State University. He has been its faculty staff member since 1982, having climbed the career ladder from an Assistant to Head of the Chair of Philosophy (1993-2004). Now Dr. Podvoyskiy is an Associate Professor of the Chair of Philosophy. His experience spans 26 years of university lecturing. He has published over 200 research papers, including 4 monographs: “Philosophy & Elite Studies of Culture by A.F. Losev” (2007, as a coauthor), “Astrakhan – 21st century: Social & Cultural Regional Studies” (2007), “Plato Sphere of Russian Philosophical Culture” (2011), and “Platonism in Russian Culture: Essays of Russian Philosophical Thought” (2012).
Dr. Podvoyskiy has spent many years to research Platonism in the Russian philosophy. He is not just a lecturer in Philosophy and in Ethics; he is also a bright personality, a true philosopher, a poet, an artist, a word master, and a real example of high culture.
