Classes of Russian Every Saturday for Everyone

As the international educational event “Total Dictation” (whose goal is to promote proficiency in the Russian language) is approaching, Astrakhan State University has arranged a special site where anyone can check their knowledge of Russian (including its spelling and punctuation) and learn something new about this language.

According to Prof. Lyudmila Kasyanova, Dean of our Department of Philology & Journalism, the Total Dictation is a splendid cultural and educational project to attract the public attention to the issue of proficiency in Russian; this project unites people of different generations. The range of people coming to check their knowledge of Russian is very wide – university students, housewives, people of most different and diverse professions – in a nutshell, all those interested in the Russian language, all those wishing to show their good knowledge of it at the upcoming international event.

Classes are delivered on a weekly basis every Saturday; they begin at 03.00 p.m. at Room #316 of the Main Building of Astrakhan State University.
