Learning to Save & Increase

The Center of Financial Literacy of Astrakhan State University has organized a meeting for our students; its theme was “Save & Increase”. The meeting has been arranged as a part of the National Week of Savings held in late October 2015.

The national event aimed to provide people with an open and a convenient access to basic knowledge related to financial literacy, which is necessary to preserve one’s personal wealth.

Mr. Alexander Koshkarov, Director of ASU’s Center of Financial Literacy, has told our students about importance of financial savings, as well as about efficient ways to accumulate funds to achieve the set goals. Modern mobile applications to control personal finances have been under consideration, too. At the end of the meeting, the students have taken a small test to determine whether they are ready to risk their investments, as investing helps protect one’s savings from inflation and speed up the cash accumulation process.

Thus, the meeting has become a logical end of the International Week of Financial Literacy recently held at ASU.
