Student of ASU Wins Eurasia Kempo Freestyle Championship

Emil Mirzaliev, a 1st-year-student of the Law Department of Astrakhan State University, has won the Eurasia Kempo Freestyle Championship in the weight category up to 90 kg (adults).

This event has taken place in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, in middle October 2015. During the qualification stage, Emil’s rival got an early technical knockout. As for the final stage, Emil has gained a victory, as his scores were the highest.

The future lawyer’s sports achievements are numerous: in Azerbaijan, he became a sixfold champion in mixed martial arts, a fivefold champion in kempo freestyle, a champion in grappling (2013), and a winner of the 2014 Baku Open Championship in Brazilian Jujitsu. Besides, Emil has won prizes at numerous sports competitions of the world, national, and regional levels in MMA, in Sanda, and in unifighting.

The champion would like to express his thanks to his University mentors and to his fellow students for their wholehearted support.
