Over 2, 500 Graduates: ASU Completes Ceremonies of Presenting Diplomas to Its Alumni

2, 780 master, specialist, and bachelor diplomas have been presented to alumni of Astrakhan State University in 2015.

Each University Department has held its own ceremony. Some Departments have applied a special approach to organization of this event. Our lawyers were wearing the traditional academic clothes with emblems of ASU on them. As for our philologists and journalists, they have arranged a concert for their professors with songs, dances, and jokes. Our Department of Foreign Languages has held a ceremony imitating an Oscar Ceremony; each group of students has chosen their favorite professor in advance and invented a nomination for him or her – e.g. “Ideal Standard of Style, Beauty, & Erudition”, “Power of Linguistic Methods”, “Grammar Muse”, etc.

At the end of all the diploma-presenting ceremonies, the new alumni of our University have expressed their wholehearted thanks to their professors; there were storms of applause and group photos to commemorate this remarkable and long-awaited event.
