University Championship in Basketball

A basketball championship has been over at Astrakhan State University.

15 male and 10 female teams (about 200 people total) have taken part in the sports event. It was the male team of the Department of Pedagogics, Social Work, & Physical Training that has won the championship. The 2nd place has been taken by the Department of Preliminary Education of Foreign Citizens, and the 3rd place – by the Department of Secondary Professional Education.

As for female teams, it was the Department of Philology & Journalism that has won the championship. The 2nd place has been taken by the Law Department, and the 3rd place – by the Department of Geology & Geography.

The winners have been granted certificates and a challenge cup.
