5th Season of Students’ Socialization Projects Completed

On Dec. 04, 2015, the Festival of Socialization Projects has officially been closed at Astrakhan State University.

From Nov. 24 to Nov. 28, about 1, 200 participants have been presenting their projects in two nominations – “Folklore Dances” and “Visual Etiquette” on the scene of the Cultural Center of Astrakhan State University. The five days have passed very fast: the audience could feel various historic epochs – Ancient Egypt, Scotland, England, Africa, and other countries.

The awarding ceremony has been opened by Sanan Gamidov, Director of ASU’s Unit of Strategic Planning & Student Projects Management; he has thanked all the participating Departments of ASU and volunteers. “The organization level of this event is getting better every year; students meet the set goals more efficiently and perform their scene numbers smarter. Thanks to that, we can see new leaders. This is how the things should be, as our socialization projects were conceived to create and enhance our University’s cultural space”, he has pointed out.

The jurors have assessed the participants’ performance in such criteria as compliance to the original works of art, the theatricalized visualization of etiquette, creativity (how bright and peculiar costumes and decorations are), the number of performers involved (at least 15 people), and contact with the audience.

The following Departments have become Laureates of the Festival:

• Visual Etiquette – the Department of Social Communications, the Department of Philology & Journalism, the Department of Physics & Technology, the Department of World Economy & Management, the Chemical Department, the Agrarian Department, the Law Department, and the Department of Geology & Geography;
• Folklore Dances – the Department of Social Communications, the Department of Geology & Geography, the Biological Department, the Historical Department, the Department of Mathematics & Information Technologies, the Law Department, the Department of Psychology, and the Department of Foreign Languages.

The 5th Season of Socialization Projects has proved once again that Astrakhan State University is a large and friendly family that has neither winners, nor losers.
