Scholars of ASU Become Experts of Higher Attestation Commission

Two people of Astrakhan State University – Professor Lyudmila Baeva and Professor Rafik Usmanov – have become experts of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Education & Science of the Russian Federation has published an official order to introduce changes into the expert councils of the Higher Attestation Commission. Expert councils of the HAC include Russia’s top researchers in the field of science, technology, education, and culture from higher educational, research, and other institutions. Professor Lyudmila Baeva, Dean of the Department of Social Communications of our University, and Professor Rafik Usmanov, Head of the Chair of Political Science & International Relations of ASU, have become members of HAC expert councils in the relevant sciences.

This is a worthy assessment of our two scholars’ professional merits. Besides, Prof. Lyudmila Baeva has recently become an expert of the Republican Research Consultancy Center of Research Sphere Expertise for the second time. The Center examines and assesses various research projects and provides scientific development forecasts as a part of the federal program “Development of Science & Technologies in 2013-2020”. Prof. Baeva will take part in examining projects in the field of Humanities and Sociology. As for Prof. Rafik Usmanov, he has recently been awarded with the Medal of the Order “For Merit to Astrakhan Oblast” for his long-lasting and highly productive professional and public activities.
