Video Conference in Philosophy Teaching Issues

On April 07, 2015, the Chair of Philosophy of Astrakhan State University has run a video conference jointly with the Faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The video conference has concerned innovative techniques of teaching Philosophy at higher educational institutions. Our colleagues from Moscow have shared their experience of applying information resources to teach Philosophy. As for Prof. Lyudmila Baeva, Head of ASU's Chair of Philosophy, she has told about experience of teaching Philosophy by a team of lecturers and their assistants within a single three-module cycle, as well as about techniques of visualization and interactive testing. During their discussion of methodical issues, the participants have come to the conclusion that application of ICT-related techniques (keeping electronic diaries and blogs, arrangement of academic web sites) contributes to enhancement of the educational process and that at the same time it does not become an obstacle for a professor and for a student to keep in touch.
